Discover Crowsnest Heritage

Located in the southern end of the Canadian Rockies, the  Crowsnest Pass is one of the richest historic and prehistoric regions of Alberta, with evidence of human presence 11,000 years before present.  Over the past century, its history as a coal-mining district has included boom-town architecture, interesting characters, exciting events, and large-scale disasters both natural and man-made.

Today, visitors to the Crowsnest Pass can experience this heritage in many different ways, and will be amazed not only by this region's great natural beauty and outstanding recreational opportunities, but with its rich human history.
