Discover Crowsnest Heritage

Bellecrest Days

The communities of Bellevue and Hillcrest  jointly present Bellecrest Days on the weekend in June which most closely coincides with the anniversary of the Hillcrest Mine Disaster of June 19, 1914.  This year a Friday night dance is followed by Saturday's pancake breakfast, parade, and firemen's competition.  A special audio-visual presentation and interpretive talks at the Frank slide Interpretive Centre followed by guided tours of the Hillcrest Cemetery will commemorate the 96th anniversary of the Hillcrest Mine Disaster.

This family-focused weekend is a great opportunity to explore the heritage of Hillcrest and Bellevue - and the entire Crowsnest Pass.  Some events are free, and all of the major heritage attractions are open.
